it is His Word, it is entirely without error (2 Timothy 3:16)
- In the beginning God created all things in heaven and on earth (Genesis 1:1)
- The Bible’s central message, from the beginning to end, is that of Jesus Christ,
God’s only begotten Son, true man and true God, who died for the sins of all people
(Luke 24:27)
- Having been truly raised from the dead, Jesus ascended to heaven, from where even
now He rules all things for the good of His followers, and will return on the last
day in all power and glory (Matthew 24:30, 31; 1 Corinthians 15:4)
- All people are born sinful, and are therefore saved by grace alone through faith
in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:10)
- It is our privilege and duty at all times to thank and praise God for His everlasting
love and mercy in Christ (Psalm 118:1)

Vail Christian High School is dedicated to serving Underlying the school in all
its facets is the desire to develop and nurture the Christian faith of its students.
Christian values are taught and shared in such a way that students see relevancy
to their own lives.
We view all knowledge and learning as potentials for God’s power and grace. Our
curriculum is determined by the demands of a complex society and our goal of academic
excellence. We focus on the needs and aptitudes of each of our students and they
are challenged on a daily basis to develop their God-given talents. They are given
opportunities to strengthen their skills and attitudes in order to make thoughtful
Christian decisions and to take positive Christian actions as they live out varying
roles in society as the children of God.
The courses in religion serve as the foundation for the student’s deepening quest
for a more personal and mature relationship with God through Jesus Christ. The Bible
is used as a source of inspiration and guidance at all times. By means of course
work in Old Testament history, New Testament, Ethics & Morality/Comparative Religions,
and Life Applications the students are exposed to the promises of Jesus, and the
presence of the living Good News of Jesus Christ in their lives. The study of comparative
religions is an important component of the theology curriculum. World religions
are compared to Christianity, enabling students to have a firm understanding of
their Christian faith.
Vail Christian understands that students come to us with differing beliefs and backgrounds
and remains sensitive to those differences. Pastors from Christian churches throughout
the Vail Valley are invited and actively participate in weekly chapel services at
VCHS. We seek the support, involvement and input of the entire Christian community,
and will always maintain a keen awareness to the various Christian traditions that
are brought to the school.
In summary, the mission of Vail Christian High School is to embrace students of
all faiths and backgrounds, and to serve the many congregations and communities
throughout the Vail Valley by providing a quality college preparatory education
in a Christian environment. To this end the name Vail Christian High School was
chosen in order to reflect its vision as a school that serves the entire community.
