Vail Christian High School Alumni Feature: Elisa Rohlwing Marchetti '01: A Life of Hope, Leadership, and Stewardship
Elisa (Lisa) Rohlwing Marchetti, Vail Christian High School Class of 2001, exemplifies the spirit of a true VCHS Saint through her remarkable professional achievements, enduring faith, and heart for service. After graduating from VCHS, Elisa earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Azusa Pacific University in 2004 and later pursued her MBA, which she completed in 2009. Along the way, she married her high school classmate, Alex Marchetti, a fellow member of the Class of 2001, further deepening her connection to the VCHS community.
Elisa began her career in human resources, focusing on inside sales at Medtronic, where she spent eight and a half successful years. Her passion for developing high-performing teams naturally steered her into training and organizational development. This path eventually led her to her current role as Associate Director of Workplace Strategy at Raytheon Technologies (RTX), a leading company in aviation, aerospace engineering, and defense. Over the past twelve years, Elisa has become highly regarded for her ability to enhance the employee experience and drive large-scale organizational effectiveness initiatives.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Elisa has made a profound personal impact through her writing and advocacy. After enduring her son’s leukemia diagnosis and her husband's battle with pancreatic cancer, Elisa spent four years journaling her experiences of heartbreak, resilience, and faith. Her reflections culminated in her Amazon best-selling book, Victory Ahead: Dare to Hope, published in 2022. The book, which received both Best Seller and Best New Release awards, carries a powerful faith-based message: even in the darkest trials, you are never alone. Through Victory Ahead and her speaking engagements at churches and events nationwide, Elisa has become a voice of hope for families navigating the devastation of cancer. As a volunteer advocate for children's cancer prevention and cancer research, she uses her family's story to inspire faith, resilience, and perseverance in others.
Elisa’s life and career embody the VCHS Portrait of a Graduate. She is a leader, advocate, and servant-hearted example of Christian commitment in action. Whether through leading employee engagement strategies at RTX, writing and speaking nationally, or encouraging families facing impossible circumstances, she demonstrates gratitude to God and to others in all she does.
Her stewardship and love for VCHS have never wavered. Elisa continues to champion the school that helped shape her, most notably by establishing the Pastor Dan Rohlwing Endowed Scholarship in honor of her father. In every sphere she touches - business, literature, advocacy, and community - Elisa seeks not only to achieve success but to help others be seen, valued, and known.
Victory truly lies ahead for Elisa Rohlwing Marchetti….and for all those blessed by her story.
